About Frida Owinga
Frida Owinga is the CEO and founder of the PassionProfit School of Entrepreneurship. She is a leading authority on entrepreneurship, leadership and management competencies. With over 25 years experience and education in organizational leadership and manager from Regent University, per passion centers around equipping individuals to build sustainable and successful businesses of excellence. She is also an alumnus of the Small Business Management program of Small Business Advisory of Georgia and USIU, Goldman Sachs Women in Entrepreneurship program.
After working in several leadership and management positions in the retail, travel and hotel industries which had clients in North America, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan and South Africa she has acquired skills to work with diverse situations and diverse industries. She was the CEO of Excellent Image, Inc. a provider of leadership and management training, coaching and consulting designed to align people and processes for optimum results. Prior to starting Excellent Image, Inc. she served as a Business Administrator for a church with branches in North America, Africa, UK and Jamaica. She also served as the Principal on their Bible Institute and was one of the key people in starting the same.
She was chosen to provide business skills training for Google Kenya and Uganda G-Inue Entrepreneurship & Tech Workshops in 2012 where she facilitated business skills modules on entrepreneurship, marketing and networking skills. She was also chosen to provide marketing skills training using Microsoft packages at the “Microsoft Grow your Business” workshop in Nairobi in 2013.
She is a training consultant for Kenya Commercial Bank Business Clubs and Co-operative Bank BizWise Clubs.
Some organizations that Frida has designed and delivered leadership and management training programs include World Vision Kenya, SOS National Team, Oil Libya, Chartis (Now AIG), EG BrandHouse, Miles and Beyond Travel, Organization for Women in International Trade, Marketing Africa, Kenya institute of Management and RUFOURUM, the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture a consortium of 29 universities in East, Central and South Africa.
Frida has been interviewed on matters pertaining to leadership and entrepreneurship several times on Kenyan TV Stations including NTV PM Live a business show, KTN Sunrise Live, KBC-The Road to Success, Women and Power on NTV and K24 Business Weekly. She has been featured in print media – Small and Medium Enterprises Magazine under entrepreneurship, Business Unusual and Eve Woman in the Standard Newspaper, Parents Magazine and True Love. She is also a frequent speaker on Hope FM Activate Monday morning business show.
